Always Monday to Friday from 12 to 5 p.m., participation is free and possible without registration, from 6 years of age

On the meadow in the garden, between crooked trees, small hills and weird sculptures, we play, build, sew, paint, experiment and make music together with homemade instruments during the first three weeks of the summer vacations. Everyone aged 6 and over is welcome to come along and join in.

This summer, the Freiraum für Gedanken und Bauwerke will take place for the eighth time in the garden of the Kunstverein Langenhagen. This year's Freiraum will be accompanied by art students from Braunschweig and the Kunstverein team.

Participation in the Freiraum is free of charge. Materials are available on site, but you can also bring them from your own cellars, garages, closets, pantries or elsewhere. Just come along or register in advance. We look forward to seeing you!

As a grand finale, the Kunstverein summer party will be celebrated on July 26, 2025 with food and drink, noisy music and some performances as well as objects made during the three weeks!

This year, for the first time, the Freiraum für Gedanken und Bauwerke and the summer party will be conceived and organized in cooperation with students of the Zusatzqualifikation Kunstvermittlung of the HBK Braunschweig, under Prof. Martin Krenn.
